Blueberry Bash at Terhune Orchards!

There are lots of things to love about the summer months: sun, swimming, and not having to shovel snow being chief among them. However, no list of great summer offerings would be complete without the fresh, juicy fruit that can be picked at local farms and in backyard gardens across the country! Terhune Orchards is no stranger to the deliciousness of summer fruit, which is why they've organized the amazing Blueberry Bash event! Come down between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 9 or Sunday, July 10 to enjoy games, music, and all the blueberries you could ever want!

First and foremost, the Blueberry Bash is a celebration of a particularly wonderful little fruit. To satisfy everyone's cravings, the event will feature a pick-your-own blueberry patch so full of ripe little berries that even small children will have no trouble finding their own handfuls! In addition, there will be plenty of blueberry-themed foods and desserts available for guests to order off the event menu, as well as other summer staples like hotdogs, barbecue chicken, healthy salads, and ice cold apple cider slush!

Although blueberries are in the spotlight, that doesn't mean that the Bash has nothing else to offer! Other activities include tractor-drawn wagons, pony rides, face painting, games, and music. Puppet performances by Tuckers’ Tales Puppet Theatre will entertain children on Saturday and Sunday at noon and 1:30p.m. Each day of the Bash will also feature live country music from 12-4 p.m. played by Borderline on Saturday and Backdoor Band on Sunday.

Finally, Sunday will be capped off by the incredible Blueberry Bash Bake-off! Joanne Canady-Brown, owner of The Gingered Peach in Lawrenceville, is our celebrity judge for the event. The winner of first prize will take home a $100 gift certificate to Terhune Orchards! 2nd prize will receive a $50 certificate and the honorable mention will win a $25 certificate. Entry into the Bake-off on Sunday is free and registration information can be found here.

Entry to the Blueberry Bash is just $5, and children under 3 are free. Terhune Orchards is located at 330 Cold Soil Rd in Princeton.
