Lawrenceville, Princeton Private Schools Rated Best in New Jersey

Niche.com, a school review and ranking website, has recently released their 2015 list of the best private high schools in the country. After sifting through an enormous amount of data, they determined that The Lawrenceville School is the best private high school in the state of New Jersey, as well as the twelfth-best in the entire country! The nearby Princeton Day School also received rave reviews, coming in second in the state.

 

Niche examined key student statistics and more than 120,000 opinions from 16,000 students and parents for 3,880 high schools across the country in order to arrive at their final ratings. Three weighted factors were used in determining a final score for each school: academic scores accounted for 60%, student culture & diversity were another 30%, and survey responses regarding experiences at the school made up the final 10%.

According to Niche, a high ranking generally indicates that:

  • Students are very happy with their experiences in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurricular activities, sports, and fitness.
  • The school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes.
  • The school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.
  • Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities and sports offered by the school.
