Home Prices Rise in 93% of Metro Areas

In the latest quarterly report by the National Association of Realtors, home prices in the vast majority of metro areas were found to have continued their upward trajectory, thanks in part to an ongoing lack of supply. 163 of the 176 (93%) metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) examined showed gains in their median existing single-family home price in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the second quarter of 2014. Conversely, just thirteen areas (7%) recorded lower median prices from a year earlier.

Princeton Among Ten Most Educated Places

If you live in Princeton, NJ, then congratulations are in order. Why? NerdWallet, a personal finance information service, has released its third ranking of The Most Educated Places in America. Their list seeks to quantify the total educational level of a community by examining the percentages of people who have accomplished each stage of education, from a highschool diploma through a doctorate. After tallying data for more than 2,000 locations, their final list named Princeton as the sixth-most educated place in the United States!

Mercer County NJ Real Estate Market Trends

Let's take a look at the real estate market in Mercer County for the first half of 2015 compared to the same period last year.

The most significant increases have taken place in Adult Communities, where homes are selling fast, sales increased 39.3% and the median sales price increased to $310,000, a 26.5% increase.  See below for the statistics for each of our single-family home categories.
